Assembly Voting Announces Acquisition by Lumi Global

Today, after extended discussions of long-term goals and mutual recognition of each others’ capabilities, Assembly Voting announces that it has agreed to be acquired by Lumi Global.

With the merger, Lumi Global now stands to utilize Electa’s scheduled voting and end-to-end verifiability to usher in a new era of engagement for their current distinguished list of clientele. Meanwhile, in forging a strategic partnership with a firm possessing a global footprint like Lumi Global, Assembly Voting is better positioned than ever to further our mission of making secure and trustworthy online voting as widely available as possible.

About Lumi Global

A United Kingdom-based firm boasting over three decades of experience in conducting digital elections, Lumi Global powers the meetings and elections that matter for the world’s most trusted decisions, ensuring seamless, engaging experiences for in-room and online participants.

Lumi Global’s cutting-edge technology and unique global presence empower informed decision-making across annual meetings, elections, member meetings, legislative meetings, IR meetings, and earnings calls. For over 30 years, Lumi has driven industry innovation, co-creating solutions with customers to simplify the complex and deliver stress-free, flawless meetings that foster accountability and meaningful engagement.

Bridging the Gap - and Taking Online Voting to New Heights

The merger is the culmination of extended discussions between the two companies, conversations which led to the conclusion that both companies would be well-served by joining forces in service of their clients. More importantly, both parties acknowledged that they each had something unique to bring to the table – namely Lumi Global’s worldwide presence and ample experience in conducting annual general meetings (AGMs) along with Assembly Voting’s end-to-end verifiable, all-in-one online voting solution Electa

Both companies recognized that having such high levels of compatibility and complementarity in their missions and offerings was rare. Now, Assembly Voting and Lumi Global are poised to offer customers of all stripes unparalled flexibility in how they conduct their democratic elections. Additionally, a larger customer base will now have unfettered access to all Electa has to offer, including its market-leading security, scheduled/asynchronous voting abilities, and numerous other features which current customers have used to tailor-make elections to their needs and desires.

This acquisition also marks a two-way milestone, as Lumi Global will now have an established base in both Denmark and Spain while Assembly Voting will soon see its products deployed around the globe from Australia to North America. All the meanwhile, we will continue our principled approach of upholding stringent security standards to ensure every election’s integrity while simultaneously not sacrificing the accessibility and user-friendliness of our solutions.

We could not be more ecstatic at the thought of what this merger means on multiple fronts. From making end-to-end verifiability the unquestioned foundation of online voting to making casting a ballot easier than ever no matter where a voter is, Assembly Voting and Lumi Global stand at the precipice of a new age of secure, reliable online voting.
